A pet that lives on a motion-sensitive badge — build photo from the creator’s source

What the hardware does

A flashed M5Stack StopWatch responds to motion, touch and button presses with an animated on-screen companion, without needing a model API at runtime.

How the agent helped

The creator describes Codex as the coding partner for the badge firmware and animation behavior. The physical device's sensors drive the interactions; this is not just a chatbot running on a small screen.

Before you build

Firmware and filesystem flashing required; runs locally without an AI API. TAVI derives from this project and is held rather than double-counted.

Display, battery-status hardware, motion sensor and vibration are integrated. Flash both LittleFS assets and firmware. No additional AI service or network connection is required while it runs.

    USB-C data cable

Connect to the computer for programming or data.

A charge-only cable cannot flash firmware. Example requires a USB-A host port. If your computer has only USB-C, use an appropriate USB-C data cable instead. Reuse the device’s included cable where possible; this is not a standalone power-supply recommendation.
