Taz: a voice-reactive pocket pet — build photo from the creator’s source
covacut · build photo

What the hardware does

An ESP32 drives a small OLED face and connects a microphone and speaker so a physical pet can listen and react with animations.

How the agent helped

The creator credits Codex with implementing Wi-Fi setup and troubleshooting the firmware's connectivity, audio and conversational behavior. Task execution is an ambition, not a demonstrated feature.

Before you build

Wired prototype with separate microphone, amplifier and speaker. Performing tasks is future work, not demonstrated functionality.

Parts for one build. Reuse equipment you already own. Quantities are planning quantities unless the creator explicitly specifies a count; kit contents are not additional purchases.

Confirm before buying

  • Display driver/revision, amplifier suffix, board revision, pin map and power rating remain unresolved. This is not yet a purchase-complete kit.

Quantities are for one build. Unless marked source-specified, they are planning quantities; confirm kit contents and the chosen configuration before ordering.
